Islamabad: “At this time, both Egypt and Pakistan share a process of change and regeneration, which has resulted in some transitory instability”, stated the Pakistan’s envoy to the Egypt while addressing a gathering to celebrate the National Day of Pakistan, at the Embassy of Pakistan, here today, says a press release received from Cairo here today.
The 72nd National Day was celebrated with the flag hoisting ceremony held at the Embassy of Pakistan which was presided over by the Ambassador Seema Naqvi, officials of the Embassy and the Egyptian media corps. Messages of congratulations from the President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani were also read out. The envoy expressed her confidence that since the two countries were moving fast on the path of democracy, the existing turbulence would soon be over.
Ambassador Naqvi while congratulating the Pakistani community in Egypt expressed her satisfaction over the closeness that had developed at all the levels in the bilateral relations between Egypt and Pakistan over the last three and half years of her tenure.
The envoy further maintained that the two countries had a civilization that went back 7000 years thus making both Egypt and Pakistan more close. She said that it was her firm conviction that Egypt and Pakistan were destined to the higher levels of warmth and fraternity in all the fields and while in Pakistan, she would continue to work diligently towards this end.
