Islamabad, November 28, 2012 (PPI-OT): As per direction of the Minister of State for Housing Malik Nouman Ahmad Langrial, his staff paid a sudden visit to lodges and hostels in Islamabad to check the facilities, which are being provided to the residing government officers. The eight members’ team visited these places today in the afternoon without informing the lodge and hostels’ controllers.
They have submitted their observation report to the Minister of State for Housing Malik Langrial. The report contains the attendance report of the staff, cleanliness of the environment, noted down major problems faced by the government officers.
They also inquired from residing officers about the issues which they are facing while living over there. Majority complained about the indifferent attitude of the staff which does not take the issues seriously and ignore their grave issues like the non availability of gas or water.
After analysing the report, the MoS has ordered to warn the staff of lodges and hostels to amend their ways and abide by the officers’ fair orders. Secondly the Minister has reiterated the need to put a complaint box in each hostel so that the issues and complaints of the residing officers would be brought under Minister’s notice directly.
The Minister has instructed his staff to pay such visits on and off so that the betterment could be seen in hostel and lodges’ conditions.
