Istanbul (IINA) The foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Tuesday condemned the targeting of the holy city of Makkah by the Houthi-Saleh militias for the second time in less than a year.
At the Open-Ended Extraordinary Meeting of the OIC Executive Committee at the Level of Foreign Ministers on Jerusalem held in Istanbul on Tuesday, the foreign ministers stressed that the targeting of Makkah by the Houthi-Saleh militias and their supporters and weapons suppliers is an attack on the sanctity of the holy sites and a provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world.
In their final Communique, the foreign ministers said that this targeting is a conclusive evidence of the refusal by the putschist militias to comply with the decisions of the international community. They described the insistence of the Houthi and Saleh militias on targeting the holy sites in Saudi Arabia as a conspiracy against the Kingdom and a desperate attempt to disrupt the Hajj season.
The foreign ministers decided to keep this targeting under review and follow-up.
