Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar says the government is committed to empower youth and steps are being taken in this regard.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today, he said Kamyab Jawan Program will play a pivotal role in economic development of country by empowering the young generation.
He said the government is also working in consultation with the provinces on the programs aimed at empowering the youth. He said the youth will be able to start their own business through these programs.
Usman Dar said one hundred billion rupees have been earmarked for the youth under the Kamyab Jawan Program and ten hundred thousand applications have so far been received. He said, under the program, process of issuance of loans to the youth on easy terms will be started soon.
He said thirty billion rupees have been allocated for Prime Minister's Hunarmand Pakistan program, which will help the youth start their business by attaining professional education.
