Lahore: This was stated by Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mohammad Habib-ur-Rahman while addressing Passing Out parade of Probationer ASIs at Police College Sihala, Rawalpindi today. Among 542 passed out ASIs, 462 belong to Punjab, 12 from Baluchistan, 30 Azad Jumu and Kashmir, 01 from Islamabad and 37 ASIs of Anti Narcotics Force were included.
On this occasion IGP was told that first time in the history of Police College Sihala all courses of the syllabus had been redesigned under ”Continuous Professional Development Programme” in which, subjects like terrorism, religious extremism, heinous crime, security intelligence, crime scene investigation and crime controlled strategies were included. IGP was further told that services of retired Army Officers, Instructors of School of Intelligence and senior officers of FIA have been hired.
Later, addressing to the Police Officers at a Police Darbar, held at Attock Police Line, IGP stressed upon them that they should focus their attention to eradicate the crime form their respective Areas. He strictly directed them that no negligence in discharging official duties on their part will not be tolerated at any cost and such officers / officials will severally be dealt with.
In Police Darbar IGP listened the problems of the officers / officials and assured them of their early redressal.
He further directed the police officers to do the collective efforts with the cooperation of local stake holders of the area for vindicating a complete peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.
