Islamabad: The Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Muhammad Naeem Khan, called on the Saudi Minister for Hajj, Dr. Fuad Abdul Salam Al Farisy at his office here in Jeddah today.
The Minister cordially welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated him on his appointment as new Envoy of Pakistan to the Kingdom. The two sides discussed the whole spectrum of the Hajj operations and efforts made to better the services provided to the Pilgrims.
The Ambassador of Pakistan, praised the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi leadership for the services and comforts provided to the pilgrims appreciated Hajj arrangements and the services provided to the pilgrims by the Saudi government during 2010 Hajj. He conveyed the gratitude of the government of Pakistan for enhancing Hajj quota of 20,000 Pakistani pilgrims during the forthcoming Hajj. The Ambassador also appreciated the efforts of the Saudi government for providing mono-rail facilities for Pakistani pilgrims this year. While appreciating the services at Jeddah and Madina airports, the Ambassador requested for providing facilities on fast track basis to Pakistani pilgrims.
The Minister assured the Ambassador of provision of all possible comforts and services to the Pakistani pilgrims.
The Ambassador conveyed the best regards and greetings of the Pakistan Minister of Religious Affairs, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah to the Saudi Minister which he warmly reciprocated. The meeting was also attended by Consul General Abdul Salik Khan and the Director General of Hajj, Abu Akif Ahmed.
