Karachi: Pakistan and China enjoy deep-friendly ties which are strengthening further with the passage of time. This was stated by Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat ul Ebad here on Wednesday.
He was talking to a Chinese delegation which called on him here at the Governor House. The delegation was led by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, Liu Jian, said a statement issued here on Wednesday.
The Sindh Governor pointed out that Karachi was the commercial and economic hub of Pakistan. He said that many foreign investors have showed interest for coming up for investment in Karachi. Dr Ebad further stated that the people of Sindh and particularly those of Karachi are awaiting Chinese investors for investment in mega projects.
He said that there was a need for investment in infrastructure, higher education, water, sewerage and transport etc. The Governor hoped that the Chinese would come up with investment in mega projects in these areas.
The Ambassador of China, Liu Jian, said that Karachi is certainly an attractive city for investment and investment could produce positive results.
He further stated that investment here is safe as well as profitable. The Ambassador said that such an investment would also help bring the people of the two countries even closer.
