Islamabad, November 07, 2012 (PPI-OT): Mr.S.M. Farhad, Chairman, FPCCI Standing Committee on “Young Entrepreneurs and Youth Affairs stated that Pakistan provides huge opportunities for Turkish Investors specially in power and energy sectors.
A delegation of Young Entrepreneurs led by Mr. S. M. Farhad, Chairman, FPCCI Standing Committee on “Young Entrepreneurs and Youth Affairs along with Mr. Ahmar Imtiaz, Mr. Saeed Farouk, Vice Chairmen of the Committee along with prominent Young businessmen, met Mr. Murat M. Onart, Consul General Turkey at Karachi, on November 2, 2012, Karachi. The delegation also discussed trade enhancement between Pakistan and Turkey in various sectors.
The delegation of the Young Entrepreneurs emphasized on the business opportunities in Pakistan in which Turkish investors may invest and possible joint ventures, they focused on the need of sharing ideas and strong communication network between the Young Entrepreneurs of Pakistan and Turkey.
Mr. Murat M. Onart, Consul General Turkish informed the Young Entrepreneurs delegation that the Turkish businessmen are investing in Pakistan recently many Investors from Turkey have invested in Punjab. Wind power expert from Turkey is also setting up wind power project in Sindh.
Mr. S. M. Farhad emphasized that Turkey to seriously look into the matter to withdraw the initiative being taken by Turkish Ministry of putting anti-dumping duty on some of the textile products. He further added that such measures will reduce the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries and make Pakistani textile goods incompetitive.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Rizwan Saadat, Mr. Sherryar Shah, Mr. Ashok Chawla and Mr.Yasir Shafi, the Prominent Young Entrepreneurs and member of FPCCI Standing Committee on Young Entrepreneurs and Youth Affairs.
