Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has directed to expedite the relief assistance to the flood-affected people, particularly affectees of Balochistan.
He issued these directions while chairing an emergency meeting in Islamabad to monitor the flood situation in the country particularly in Balochistan, which is the most affected province.
The Minister said the government is committed to provide relief assistance to the flood-affected people.
Earlier, the Planning Minister wrote letters to the Chief Ministers of Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, asking them to devise a plan for the joint flood relief efforts.
