PML-N believes in transparent, impartial elections: Marriyum

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the PML-N firmly believes in transparent and impartial elections, and upholding the democratic norms.

In a series of tweets on Monday, she said the election of the Sunday in Punjab is its practical demonstration.

The Information Minister recalled that when Imran Khan had the federal and Punjab governments, he made rigging records and breached the constitution to save power on 3rd April. On the contrary, the Muslim League (N) did not use its power in the Federation and Punjab to kidnap the staff of the Election Commission, attack the constitution and violate the constitution.

The Information Minister said these are the first elections in history in whose transparency finger cannot be pointed even by the worst political opponents. She hoped former Prime Minister Imran Khan will apologize for his insulting posture towards the Election Commission.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said the people of Punjab have always expressed full confidence in the PML-N. She said we will continue the journey for exemplary service to the people of Punjab according to the same spirit and historical tradition. She said the PML (N) will be further strengthened in the 16 provincial seats of Punjab.
