Minister for information technology Ameenul haq has said that IT related exports have increased to 2.6 billion dollars from one billion dollar just in a short span of one year and a policy has been devised to take it to 12 to 15 billion dollars in the next three to five years.
Addressing a ceremony in Karachi today, he said manufacturing of smartphones in the country has made its availability at very low prices in the local market enabling youth to connect with the rest of the world digitally.
He said that our youth can initiate online business by equipping themselves with digital skills.
