Islamabad, May 26, 2012 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Police have arrested 15 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 10 wine bottles, 2.020 kilogram hashish, 500 gram heroin, three pistols, one dagger and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
According to details, Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Hanif and Tariq Pervez from Shehzad town police station arrested two persons identified as Riaz and Babar besides recovering 2.040 kilogram hashish, two 30 bore pistols and 36 rounds from them. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf from Golra police arrested a drug pusher identified as Akram and recovered 500gram heroin from him while another accused Ayaz was arrested in possession of 30 bore pistol..
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Tehseen from CIA Police Islamabad arrested Zeeshan Ali, Abid and Waseem for possessing looted items worth thousands of rupees.
ASI Mehboob Hussain from Margallah police station arrested an accused Asif and recovered a dagger from him. On a tip off, Station House Officer of Women Police station Sadaf Basharat along with police team stopped a car (QJ-936) for checking near sector G-8 Markaz and recovered ten wine bottles from it. Police team also arrested six occupants of car including four women identified as Rabia, Kalsoom, Rifat, Saadia and two others Zahid Shah and Shahid Mehmud.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance and patrolling in their respective areas.
