Karachi, May 09, 2012 (PPI-OT): Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, has emphasised that the timetable of completion of development projects be strictly maintained besides taking due care of the quality of work.
He was presiding over a high level meeting held at the Governor House here on Tuesday which reviewed the on-going development work. Dr. Ebad also warned that dereliction would be tolerated in this regard.
He directed the officials concerned to maintain effective financial discipline. The Governor stressed that the allocated budget be effectively utilized and it be ensured that the funds do not lapse.
He said that delay in development projects cause inconveniences to the people and that this would not be tolerated. Dr. Ebad stressed that the projects that have been undertaken with special grant for Sindh should be completed at the earliest.
The Administrator of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Muhammad Hussain Syed, also briefed the Governor regarding the financial constraints of the KMC. The Governor assured that steps would be taken for the resolution of these through the provincial government.
