Karachi, May 14, 2012 (PPI-OT): Syed Muhammad Pezhman, the Lord Mayor of Mashhad who visited Karachi on the invitation of Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed, said Iran and Pakistan are bound by long-lasting relations of brotherhood.
This attachment would get further strength with the bilateral visits of trade and cultural delegations. I came here with good wishes for Pakistan and especially for Karachi citizens and now leaving with the unforgettable memories of love and affection.
He expressed these views while talking to media representatives at the airport on his departure to Mashhad.
The Lord Mayor said our visit was also aimed at signing memorandum of understandings by the two cities in various sectors. However after many meetings and bilateral talks we hope that soon joint projects would start in both cities. Not only joint projects would initiate but we would also share our experience and avail the benefits of each other’s capabilities.
He thanked Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed and citizens of Karachi for excellent reception of him and members of his delegation.
Earlier the Lord Mayor of Mashhad paid a detailed visit of Pakistan’s biggest part Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim and went to Sea View area and nearby shopping mall.
On his visit to Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim, he was informed that this being the biggest park of the country comprised of 130 acres of land and can contain about 3 Lac people at a time. The park is open for public for whole night and each day thousands of people visit the Abdullah Shah Ghazi Mausoleum located in the boundary of park. He was also told about the existence of old Hindu Temple there which is also visited by lot of Hindus.
