Prime Minister meets FATA Member of National Assembly’s

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani met the MNAs hailing from FATA here today and assured them of the judicious apportionment of the allocated funds in the PSDP to carry out development projects in the region to fight out poverty, unemployment and ignorance.

The members who attended the meeting included Engineer Shaukat Ullah, Minister for SAFRON, Milk Bilal Rehman, Mr Sajjid Hussain Turi, Haji Muneer Khan Orakzai, Mr. Jawad Hussain, Muhammad Kamran Khan and Mr. Zafar Betanni.

During the meeting the MNAs said that they were evaluating the performance of the Party and would seriously consider joining Pakistan People’s Party at an appropriate time in pursuance of the promulgation of Political Parties Act in FATA. They assured the Prime Minister that they firmly stood by the government and would continue to extend their support in future too.

They assured their unflinching support to the President and the Prime Minister on the stance taken by the federal government on the foreign policy domain.

The Prime Minister gave the instructions that regional quota in jobs must be observed in letter and spirit, adding that the ban on recruitment will be lifted after seeking approval from the cabinet. The Prime Minister said that he would take the political leadership into confidence on the security of Pakistan.
