Islamabad, February 09, 2016 (PPI-OT): To strengthen bilateral ties between Pakistan and Qatar, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is arriving in Qatar on 10 February along with a high powered delegation. Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force is also accompanying the Prime Minister. During the visit leadership of both countries will discuss possibility of enhancing areas of cooperation in various defence related fields.
To make this visit a momentous occasion 02 JF-17 Thunders and 02 Super Mushshak aircraft along with a PAF contingent of Pakistan Air Force have already arrived in Doha, Qatar. It will be a historic occasion when indigenously produced aircraft of Pakistan will be flying in the skies of Qatar for the first time.
Both these aircraft will perform static and aerial display which would be witnessed by His Highness Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar and Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif along with senior government and military officials of both countries. It is expected that activity is going to strengthen existing bilateral relations between the two countries and take it to further heights. It is also important to mention that Pakistan is the only Muslim country which is producing a world class fighter jet and a state of the art trainer aircraft.
