Peshawar: Chief Engineer WAPDA (Operations) Latif Khan has directed the concerned SDOs to make proposals for the installation of seven (200 KVA) and thirteen (100 KVA) additional transformers at PK-4 and complete their installation till the end of current summer which would cost Rs. 25 billion.
These directives, he issued in a high level meeting with WAPDA officials at WAPDA House, Peshawar on Tuesday. The meeting, besides, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports,, Tourism, Achieves and Youth Affairs Syed Aqil Shah was attended by WAPDA SE Peshawar Circle Muharram Shah, Director (P&E) Sajjad Husain Shah, XEN Muhammad Amjad, SDO Kohat road, Nasir Zaman and SDO Peshawar Cantt: Mujeeb ur Rehman.
Provincial Minister Syed Aqil Shah apprised the WAPDA authorities about low voltage of electricity as well as new transformers for PK-4 constituency. Chief Engineer (Operations) Latif Khan on the occasion directed the SDOs to make a survey of each area of PK-4 and submit their reports immediately. He said the feeder of Gulberg, Landi Arbab and Kohat road are being changed into two feeders; each costing Rs. 6 billion, 9 billion and 3.8 billion respectively.
He said during the last one year, the department had spent Rs. 22.22 billion over feeders at PK-4. Syed Aqil Shah on this occasion said that the people of his constituency faced a lot of difficulties particularly in summer due to non-availability of transformers. He expressed the hope that through the active support of WAPDA authorities, the installation of additional transformers would soon be completed in his constituency.
