Lahore, September 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): Punjab Board of Investment and Trade organized Punjab Yantai Business Forum on September 10, 2015 in 8th Club GOR-1. Among the participants were the delegates from Yantai Chamber of Commerce and government officials of China. Chief Guest at the forum was Minister for Industries Punjab.
CEO Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, Mr. Habib ur Rehman Gillani welcomed the participants at the forum and said that this forum has specially been organized for the Yantai Delegation in order to provide them complete knowledge of the available business and investment opportunities in Punjab.
Government departments such as Planning and Development, Lahore Development Authority, Communications and Works, Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company, Energy and Agriculture departments shared investment opportunities at the Forum through brief presentations.
Mr. Agha Waqar member PPP Cell, P and D Dept, apprised the participants about the prospects of economic growth in Punjab and also informed about the ongoing and upcoming projects under the PPP mode. In the end Chairman PBIT, Mr. Abdul Basit, expressed his gratitude and said that Pak-China has shared co-relation since 1951. With strong military relation, china has contributed a lot in infrastructure and industrial technology.
Chairman, Yantai Chamber of Commerce also expressed his gratitude to departments and appreciated that PBIT arranged a forum where investment opportunities in Punjab were shared in detail. Minister for Industries, Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique appreciated the visit of Yanati group to Punjab for seeking investment opportunities.
At the end, he stated that Punjab is bursting with opportunities in the livestock, agriculture, energy and infrastructure sectors and welcomed the Chinese businessmen to invest in Punjab. Punjab Board of Investment and Trade also organized cultural night and dinner on September 10, 2015 at a local hotel to honour this high profile Chinese delegation and to strengthen the cultural ties between China and Pakistan.
