Radio Pakistan is organizing a colorful Diamond Jubilee Awards 2022 ceremony at Pak-China Friendship Center in Islamabad this evening.
The objective of the ceremony is to honor those who rendered meritorious services in different fields in the national broadcaster.
Awards will be conferred in nineteen categories including to the religious scholars, Qura'as, announcers, anchors of different programmes especially of literary, current affairs, sports and agriculture, Drama Artists and Writers, musicians and newsreaders.
The awards will also be given to the best male voices and best female voices for youth.
Special categories of Super Star Awards, Lifetime Achievement, Mehdi Hassan and Noor Jahan Awards have been carved out to honor the services of legendary artistes and broadcasters.
On the occasion, Medley of Radio Music Archives will be played whilst there will also be signing performances to enthrall the audience.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb will be chief guest at the awards ceremony. Prominent personalities including Federal Ministers and Parliamentarians will also be present on the occasion.
It will also be attended by Information Secretary Shahera Shahid and DG Radio Pakistan Sohail Ali Khan who in their addresses will highlight the contributions made by Radio Pakistan over the years in the field of information.
