Islamabad: Minister of State for Housing and Works, Mr. Raza Hayat Harraj has constituted a 4-member committee headed by the Senior Joint Secretary of Ministry of Housing and Works for early settlement of the issue of vacation of 200 G-6 government flats occupied by the unauthorized occupants since a long time. The other members of the committee will be one each from Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Islamabad Capital Police and Estate Office.
Chairing a meeting to review the performance of the Estate Office, the Minister of State said that progress on the G-6 issue would be constantly monitored and al out measures would be taken to get vacation of flats from unauthorized occupants.
The Minister said that in future all the allotments would be made on merit in order to provide relief to the government employees waiting their turn for a long period.
The Minister added that there were nine bloods in G-6 and many block having 200 flats. After get vacation from the unauthorized occupation one block, each would be given to CDA Islamabad Capital Police and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and six remaining blocks would be handed over to the Estate Office for allotment to the FG Employees.
The Minister observed that allotment of the G-6 flats would not only generate revenue for the government but also provide a great relief to the shelterless government employees.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary Housing and Works Raja Muhammad Abbas and Senior Officials of the Ministry and Estate Officer.
