Srinagar, March 21, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation led by Hurriyet leader, Advocate Mohammad Shafi Reshi met illegally detained senior Hurriyet leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt at Baramulla jail. During the meeting the Hurriyet leaders, paying rich tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs, said that their sacrifices would not go waste but would definitely bring positive results. They also discussed the current political situation of the territory and said that Indian authorities were responsible for bloodshed in the territory.
The Hurriyet leaders said that the people of Kashmir were basically peace-loving people and were struggling for securing their right to self-determination guaranteed to them by the United Nations and the international community. They urged the Indian authorities to give up its unrealistic approach towards the lingering Kashmir dispute and come forward to settle it in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people. They said that peaceful resolution of the dispute could bring progress and prosperity in India and Pakistan but also in the entire region.
