Islamabad: HEC scholar Nadeem Javaid has completed his PhD from the University of Paris-Est., France. He completed his studies within three years with the grade “très honourable” (very honourable).
The title of his thesis is “Analysis and Design of Link Metrics for Quality Routing in Wireless Multi-hop Networks”. His area of research includes Routing related issues in wireless Multi-hop Networks, like, Ad-hoc Networks, Wireless Mesh Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, etc.
Dr. Javaid, who has joined Electrical Engineering Department of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad as Assistant Professor, has also been working on different optimization techniques to reduce the routing overhead of both reactive and proactive routing protocols.
Nadeem also presented his research paper, “Interference and Bandwidth Adjusted ETX in Wireless Multi-hop Networks”, in an international conference in the domain of networks and communications, Globecom 2010 held in Miami, Florida USA.
