Srinagar, March 20, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Secretary General, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, has felicitated Pakistan ahead of its National Day, saying that the resolution, passed on 23 March in 1940 in Lahore, is a source of inspiration and guideline for the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is in illegal custody of Indian police, in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, expressed hope that the country would move forward keeping in view its responsibility of uniting the Muslim Ummah. “This country is facing many internal and external conspiracies” for being a nuclear power.
Terming Pakistan as hope for the Muslims world, Shabbir Shah said, “We believe a strong Pakistan can play a crucial role in bringing peace in South Asia. Millions of people have sacrificed their lives for achieving this nation. Now, the country needs to expose the enemies.”
Commenting over the changing global political scenario, Shabbir Shah said the Muslim countries of the world are duty-bound to secure the interests of Pakistan and must rise to protect and secure this country keeping in view its centrality among the Muslim Ummah.
He said that Pakistan had always raised voice in favour of oppressed and subjugated Muslims across the world and the undeterred role it played with regard to Kashmiris’ fight for self-determination was hidden from none.
“Pakistan’s unflinching support to Kashmiris on political, moral and diplomatic fronts is laudable and we hope the country will continue its support with the same spirit and steadfastness. We’re proud of having a nation like Pakistan as our well-wisher,” he added.
