Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has presented a 2.247 trillion rupees Sindh budget for fiscal year 2023-24 with development outlay of 701 billion rupees.
Announcing the budget, he said the total revenue receipts have been estimated at 2.209 trillion rupees which shows the deficit of 37.795 billion rupees.
He said 267.5 billion rupees have been earmarked for school education while 228 billion rupees for health and 143 billion rupees have been set aside for law and order.
Moreover, the local government budget will amount to 112 billion rupees while 136 billion rupees are earmarked for capital expenditure due to interest payments.
He further said that the agriculture sector has been given the allocation of 18.9 billion rupees while 25.703 billion rupees have been earmarked for irrigation sector.
