Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that Thar Coal Power projects will bring prosperity in the backward area besides increasing power supply in the country.
Presiding over a meeting of Thar coal and energy board in Karachi on Thursday, he said there is a need to lay down railway track from Thar coal mines to Chor Umerkot which will cost about 300 million dollars.
The meeting was informed that Chinese firm has completed transmission line for evacuation of electricity from Thar to national grid.
