Islamabad: To study and research into factors, actors and issues impacting peace and security in Pakistan, a THINK-TANK has been launched in Islamabad under the LEADERSHIP of Mr. Asghar Mahmood.
PSP is an apolitical and non-religious Researchers’ Forum.
Mr. Mahmood who has vast experience of public-order maintenance, crime prevention, security and counter-terrorism retired from the Police Service of Pakistan as Additional Inspector General of Police (Balochistan).
A Graduate of the National Defence College (university), he has held senior positions in the Federal Government besides serving in the police, Special Branch, FIA and IB.
PSP will also study issues of governance, mismanagement of resources and corruption that are at the root of present unrest in the country.
PSP plans to hold seminars, workshops, discussions and training sessions in addition to issuing research papers.
