Srinagar, November 14, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained senior leader of Hurriyet Conference Jammu and Kashmir, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has reacting to the Indian Army court’s verdict in 2010 Machil fake encounter has described it an election stunt.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah in his message from jail said that if the case would have been investigated in an impartial manner as the people demanded, the lives of 125 innocent youth killed by Indian forces that year would have been saved.
He condemned the killing of a youth and inuring of several people by the unprovoked firing of Indian troops on peaceful protesters in Kulgam, today. He deplored that the troops involved in 2010 killings were still roaming free and said that Omar Abdullah could not take action against them, as he himself was responsible for the killings as he was the puppet Chief Minister.
Terming the Indian Army court’s verdict as election stunt and its welcome by pro-India parties as shameful, Shabbir Shah said that they should also call for bringing to book those responsible for Chattisinghpora, Wandhama, Sopore, Kupwara, Handwara, Bijbehara, Gaw Kadal massacres and killing of Asiya, Neelofar, Tabinda Gani, Tufail Mattoo, Wamiq Farooq, Zahid Farooq and many others innocent Kashmiris.
Meanwhile, the Hurriyet Conference Jammu Kashmir activists continuing their election boycott campaign, today, distributed anti-election posters in Hajin, Sumbal and Bandipora and also addressed the people.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, in his statement in Srinagar also strongly denounced the killing of the youth at Chanigam in Kulgam.
