Islamabad: Chairman Intellectual Property Organization (IPO-Pakistan) Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi during the official visit of Geneva today participated in different sessions of Third WIPO Symposium besides having in formal meetings with various delegates and discussed matters relating to mutual interest. The Director General IPO-Pakistan Mr. Sajjad Ahmad Bhutta and Director Meesaq Arif also present on the occasion.
Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi referring penal discussions, presentations and global issues concerning IPR discussed on the occasion said that the international forum has provided a unique opportunity to all the decision makers to benefit from each other experiences and join hands to achieve the targets.
He said very positive suggestions have been presented during Symposium and this would help to explore the future vision of international collaboration and global infrastructure.
Mr. Afridi also underlined the need of reciprocal visits of delegations among the member countries to bring understanding on confronted issues besides evolving a uniform policy to implement the decisions taken at the high level segments of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
He also mentioned the steps being adopted in Pakistan to tackle the gigantic issues relating to IPR protection and said that effective strategy has been evolved to address these issues accordingly.
The delegates of different countries praised the efforts of the administration of IPO-Pakistan and said that it is encouraging that the concept of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection is being promoted at gross root level.
The Director General IPO-Pakistan Mr. Sajjad Ahmad Bhutta appreciated the deliberations of the envoys of different countries during the symposium.
