Srinagar, June 19, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir liberation (JKLF) Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to religious scholar, Qazi Nisar on his martyrdom anniversary.
Mohammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar, terming Qazi Nisar as a great Kashmiri scholar and leader, said that no one could ignore his struggle and sacrifices.
Recalling his social, political and religious struggle, he said that Qazi Nisar was a leader who strived for safeguarding the Muslim identity of Kashmir and best way to pay tributes to him was to follow his footsteps.
Yasin Malik said that today the enemies of Jammu Kashmir were again out to destroy and snatch our Muslim identity. “The RSS and BJP are planning to declare Lakhs of outsiders (Non-Kashmiri) refugees as the citizens of Jammu Kashmir and thus change the demography of Kashmir and snatch our national identity and Muslim character from us”, he added.
The JKLF Chairman said that Kashmiris would not remain silent spectators over the nefarious designs of India and its puppet administration in the territory. He said that JKLF had already decided to re-start “Quit Kashmir” movement from June 23.
He said on Monday a total shutdown will be observed in Kashmir and people will march towards Lal Chowk and stage a peaceful protest rally against these ill designs against Kashmiris.
Meanwhile, JKLF has expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Ghulam Nabi Malik. The deceased was the father of a great martyr, Naseer Ahmad Malik.
A JKLF delegation consisting of Abdul Rashid Magloo, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Molvi Reyaz, Ghulam Qadir Khan, Mohammad Azeem Zargar and Abdul Rashid Mir visited the residence of the deceased and paid rich tributes to him.
