Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., June 27, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Sensegen, the pioneering biotechnology-based solution provider in taste, smell, and beauty, has launched its highly anticipated Exotic Flavors collection.

Sensegen has created a range of captivating flavors for food and beverages. The collection features six unique exotic true-to-fruit flavors: lychee, guava, papaya, yuzu, dragon fruit, and violet.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Exotic Flavors collection to the market, representing a significant milestone in our mission to redefine taste and consumer experiences,” said Natasha D’Souza, VP of Flavors and Consumer Experience at Sensegen.

“Our research has revealed that exotic flavors transcend vacation settings and have become a top preference for various occasions and drink preferences. By leveraging our bio-based solutions, we invite food and beverage companies to explore the immense potential of these flavors across different categories and create truly personalized experiences for their consumers,” said D’Souza.

According to Sensegen’s Sensory and Consumer Insights Center, 48% of consumers identified exotics as a top flavor. Consumers are open to more adventurous flavors in social settings or when they feel exploratory. In alcoholic beverages, consumers consider unique, exotic, and natural flavors as the top three desired characteristics.

Sensegen will unveil the Exotic Flavors collection at IFT First in Chicago, July 17-19, 2023, at its creative partner Blue California’s booth S1670. In anticipation of the collection, IFT attendees will be the first to taste food and beverage prototypes made with the flavors and complimentary ingredients from Sensegen’s sugar reduction solutions partner Sweegen.

IFT Attendees can expect several exciting prototypes to inspire their products with the Exotic Flavors.

This launch results from Sensegen’s relentless pursuit of innovation and commitment to providing consumers with unique taste experiences. The Exotic Flavors collection is supported by the company’s proprietary quantitative research conducted nationally with over 1,500 consumers. This comprehensive study explored the beverage and food choices people make in various situations, the influence of mood on those decisions, and the underlying reasons behind them.

Sensegen’s insights from this research offer invaluable guidance to food and beverage companies seeking to inspire innovation with mood-centric flavors. By understanding that mood, food, and beverage choices can vary significantly among individuals, industry players can use this research to tap into the full potential of their offerings and deliver tailored experiences to their diverse consumer base.

In line with Sensegen’s commitment to sustainability and biotechnology, the Exotic Flavors collection is produced by bioconversion. This approach ensures the highest quality and authenticity while minimizing the environmental impact of flavor production.

WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually handle securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

NIMIR Energy, a leading renewable energy company, and LONGi, a global solar panel manufacturer, have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at fostering collaboration in developing and deploying solar energy solutions.

This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of sustainable and clean energy sources to meet Pakistan’s growing energy demand.

The collaboration will leverage NIMIR Energy’s expertise in project development and LONGi’s cutting-edge solar technology to drive the adoption of renewable energy pan-Pakistan, pushing the government’s intent to promote solar.

NIMIR Energy is part of NIMIR Group, providing services in renewable energy with a primary focus on solar EPC for industrial, commercial, and residential users. NIMIR Group has been serving Pakistan and its business community since 1964 with a diversified range of products.

With climate action in full swing, NIMIR would like to play its positive role in bringing in the right resources to ensure Pakistan’s transition to clean and sustainable energy.

The company’s commitment to sustainable development aligns perfectly with LONGi’s vision to enable the world to transition to a low-carbon future through its industry-leading solar products and solutions.

LONGi, renowned for its high-efficiency solar modules and advanced photovoltaic technology, has emerged as a global leader in the solar industry. By joining forces with NIMIR Energy, the company aims to expand its reach and accelerate the development of solar energy projects in key markets around the world.

Balochistan has seen a notable increase in the cost of sacrificial animals, with prices rising up to 100 percent as Eid-ul-Adha approaches. This increase in price is due to a shortage of animals, which traders say is a result of livestock losses during floods that occurred last year.

Caused by heavy monsoon rains, the floods had severe consequences. Over 1,700 people lost their lives and 33 million were affected, with damages amounting to $30 billion. Additionally, more than 900,000 livestock were lost and farmland and infrastructure were severely damaged throughout the country.

According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Balochistan alone lost 328,832 livestock between June and December last year. Animal traders in Quetta’s busiest market say that their business has been greatly impacted by the floods just before Eid-ul-Adha.

However, customers at the market are unhappy with the high prices and lack of desired animal breeds.

The Punjab government has decided to reopen the largest opium factory in Asia. The necessary preparations have been made, including applying for an arms license for the factory in Shadman.

The Director General (DG) of Excise will oversee the restoration of the factory which has been closed for 13 years. An officer of the Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) rank will manage the administrative affairs.

Opium will be obtained from Narcotics Control Agencies in various provinces to ensure a steady supply. The first batch of 640 kg is expected to arrive soon. The opium produced by the factory will be classified as A-category and sold at a rate of Rs. 40,000 per kilogram. Pharmaceutical companies can purchase A-category opium at market rates, while B-category opium, which is harmful to human health, will be disposed of.

Once the staff and arms license is issued, the opium factory will resume operations in accordance with the requirements of the official opium alkaloid factory established under the Hudud Ordinance 1979 in Lahore. Interestingly, this factory was closed in 2012 by the Excise and Taxation Department Punjab without a clear reason.

The government has incurred significant expenses in maintaining this factory despite a consistent demand for medical-grade legal opium. However, bureaucratic corruption has hindered the factory’s profitability.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday had a telephonic conversation with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva where he expressed hope that the lender will announce its decision on the current loan program in the next couple of days.

He reiterated his determination to achieve all pre-determined targets and goals for improving the country’s economic landscape via joint efforts.

The IMF MD acknowledged the efforts of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and his team in completing the pending bailout program. She expressed the desire to see improvements in Pakistan’s economy and appreciated PM Shehbaz for his commitment to the cause.

The phone call came a few days after the lender underscored the necessity of modifying the budget 2023-24, stating that an agreement cannot be reached without some alterations which have already been shared with the Ministry of Finance.

In line with the conditions set forth in the recent IMF negotiations, the government has reluctantly agreed to contingency measures to increase tax revenue, but without any respite to help with the internal pressures, the austerity is expected to keep the economy on edge in the new fiscal year.
