Pakistan dispatches another tranche of relief assistance for Gaza

Pakistan has dispatched another tranche of relief assistance for the people of Gaza.

Pakistan has dispatched another tranche of relief assistance for the people of Gaza.

The tranche was sent by National Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation.

Member National Assembly Kesoo Mal Kheeal Das was the Chief Guest at send-off ceremony while senior officials of NDMA and Al Khidmat Foundation were also present.

The shipment is destined to reach Aqba Port Jordan, for further distribution to People of Gaza.

This 9th relief consignment comprises of approximately 300 tons of aid including medicines, hygiene kits and food packs as per needs at Gaza.

Earlier, NDMA has sent 8 relief consignments comprising approximately 1000 tons of aid which included special winterized tents, blankets, surgical supplies, medicines, Female Dignity kit and food packs.

Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain along with delegation met his Saudi counterpart Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiyyah at the Mina Camp office in Makkah .

Radio Pakistan Correspondent in Makkah, Bilal Khan Mehsud reports that Chaudhary Salik Hussain expressed pleasure over the special arrangements made for the convenience of Pakistani pilgrims.

He said Saudi government is introducing innovation and latest facilities for Hajj every year.

In response, the Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah said all the facilities will be provided to Pakistan Hajj Mission in Mina and Arafat.

He also assured the Pakistani delegation that all possible support will be extended to Pakistan Hajj Mission.

Secretary Religious Affairs, Zulfiqar Haider said that next year, Government and private Hajj schemes will be established under one window.

The pilgrims will remain in the tent valley tonight and tomorrow move to Maidan-e-Arafat to perform the Rukn-e-Azm of Hajj Waqoof-e-Arafat.

Radio Pakistan Correspondent in Makkah, Bilal Khan Mehsud reports that the officials of Pakistan Hajj Mission are seeing off the pilgrims for their destination to towards Mina.

The government of Pakistan has made elaborate arrangement to transport Pakistani pilgrims to Mina through buses and trains.

Some of the faithful are traveling on foot to reach Mina, which is situated at almost eight kilometer from Makkah.

Registration on the part of Pakistan Army for next batch is underway.

Notables of the area, especially the youth, thanked the Pakistan Army for increasing their capacity under the Digi Skills Development Programme.

Sindh budget for next fiscal year with total outlay of three thousand and fifty six billion rupees was presented in provincial Assembly in Karachi today.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah who also holds the portfolio of finance minister while presenting budgetary proposals in the house said Annual Development Programme will be of 959 billion rupees while 22 to 30 percent increase has been made in the salaries of government employees and 15 percent increase in the pension.

Syed Murad Ali Shah said 519 billion rupees have been allocated for Education, 334 billion rupees for Health while 329 billion rupees have been earmarked for local governments.

Similarly, 58 billion rupees have been allocated for the agriculture sector, 77 billion rupees for the energy sector, 94 billion rupees for the irrigation sector and 86 billion rupees for Works and Services departments.

Sindh Chief Minister said fifty six billion rupees have been allocated for Transport, 153 billion rupees for Services General Administrati
on and 194 billion rupees for Home Department.

He said minimum wages has been increased from thirty-two to thirty-seven thousand rupees.

He said special initiative has also been taken for the employees of scale 1 to 6 under which a personal pay would be introduced to bridge the difference.

Syed Murad Ali Shah said budget also includes 116 billion rupees allocation for subsidies to ease the financial burden on citizens.

He said 25 billion rupees will be provided for housing schemes.

Syed Murad Ali Shah said five billion rupees have also been earmarked for a Hub Canal Project that would provide water to Karachi.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has said that present government has a proven track record of pulling the country’s economy out of crisis.

Addressing an event organized of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ishaq Dar said when PML-N government was formed in 2013, all the international rating agencies and financial institutions were indicating that Pakistan’s economy was on the brink of default and that it would take 10 to 12 years to stabilize.

He said that the PML-N government managed to stabilize the economy within three years due to its prudent policies.

Ishaq Dar said Pakistan faced international sanctions after performing successful nuclear tests in 1998, while the then PML-N government revived the economy within eight months.

Senior Minister of Punjab Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the provincial government has presented people-friendly budget.

Addressing a post-budget conference along with Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman in Lahore today, she said the provincial government has taken important steps for the people during three months.

She said no new tax has been levied in the budget.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said Punjab government is focusing on health, agriculture and other sectors to benefit people of the province.

Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) in collaboration with District Administration and Health Department organized a free medical camp at Ubauro Tehsil in Ghotki district.

The aim of the free medical camp was to provide free medical treatment and other facilities to the local people. Medical examination of more than one thousand patients was conducted at the camp. They patients were also provided with medicines.

In collaboration with NADRA, national ID cards of more than three hundred people and B-forms for children were also made through online mobile service in the area.
