Olympic Champion of Javelin throw Arshad Nadeem was accorded a heroic welcome on his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase through a special aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force today.
Federal Ministers including Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar received the pride of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, he said Arshad Nadeem has been given VVIP reception as a State guest and State protocol has been accorded to him during his visit to Islamabad. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will host a banquet in honour of the national hero.
Attaullah Tarar said that that a musical event has also been arranged during which artistes will present patriotic songs and Arshad Nadeem will also feature in the event as the chief guest.
In his remarks, Olympic Champion of Javelin throw Arshad Nadeem thanked Almighty Allah and the entire nation for their support and prayers which led to his success.
While mentioning Punjab Youth Festivals organized by the then provincial government in 2012 and 2014, he said th
e then Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation of his success which resulted in securing this big achievement of winning gold medal in Paris Olympics.
Arshad Nadeem expressed his resolve that he would continue to work hard and bag more successes for the nation in future.
