PM directs GB leadership to review efficacy of ongoing development projects

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has instructed the Gilgit-Baltistan administration and leadership to review the efficacy of all ongoing development projects and pay special attention to the significant schemes.

He was chairing a briefing regarding progress on development projects and law and order situation in Gilgit-Baltistan, in Gilgit on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister said protection of all citizens of Pakistan is responsibility of the State.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar directed the authorities concerned to timely identify all the elements involved in spreading anarchy in the name of religion in Gilgit and take strict measures against them.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed about the progress in IT, health, education and other sectors.

The meeting was informed that many problems of the education sector have been timely identified and effectively solved in all the districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, especially in Diamir and Astore. It was told that a 24-hour helpline has been established in Gilgit-Baltistan for the prevention of mental disorders.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister was also informed about the constructive steps taken in the environmental and tourism sectors.
