Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the lawyers’ community of the country on the passing of Lawyers Welfare and Protection Bill 2023.
In a statement on Thursday, the Prime Minister said lawyers have sacrificed their lives for the supremacy of law in the country and their safety and welfare is among topmost priorities of the government.
Referring to his meeting with lawyers a month ago, the Prime Minister said he had promised them to get this law passed soon and the promise has been fulfilled.
Shehbaz Sharif said members of Senate and National Assembly have written history by passing this law which will not only ensure protection of lawyers’ rights but will enhance their efficacy.
The Prime Minister vowed to continue to work for the betterment of lawyers community.
